Within the energy market the market for renewable energy projects is relatively
young and dynamic: new entrants, strategic position taking by utilities,
consolidation and increasing M&A activity. Traditionally the Develop-Build-Own-Operate
model was applied by many project developers. Now we see a trend towards
a more segmented approach throughout the stages of a success full project.
In this segmented model, during each stage the appropriate party is running
the project.
Financial advisor
GA-Finance acts as financial advisor to project developers, joint ventures,
lessees, operators, banks and lessors. GA-Finance is capable of structuring
and arranging financing packages, from equity and mezzanine to debt. Also
we arrange tax capacity. Our expertise is equally valuable for non-performing
assets and other stress situations, e.g. restructuring of existing facilities,
work out, valuation and divestment of assets and/or asset holding companies.
Investor
GA-Finance has a growing portfolio of investments in renewable projects
for own risk and account.
Our expertise is in proven technologies, such as wind power. We are capable
to handle non standard financial situations. By applying own funds as
well as third party capital GA-Finance is able to invest risk sharing
capital in renewable asset transactions.
Value creation
Our goal is to create value by optimising the financing of assets in operation.
This goal can be achieved by working as an advisor to parties involved
in buying or operation of assets, but we can also work as an off-taker
of assets by acting as a principal. The ability to take both roles sets
us apart from many others.
